if you have money to spare. From the research I did here and elsewhere, Johnson Controls makes almost all of the brands on the market. They make all the Diehard batteries, Interstate, AC Delco, Optima and more. The Diehard Gold battery is a proprietary battery by Johnson Controls, and seems to be better than the rest. Odyssey is definitely the premium brand, with the newest battery technology. If you want to go this route however, just buy a Diehard Platinum battery which is actually a re-branded Odyssey battery, and ~100 bucks cheaper than if you were to purchase the exact battery with Odyssey branding. It was about 100 bucks more for the Odyssey/Diehard Platinum compared to the Diehard Gold, which wasn't really worth it for me. BTW, Diehard Golds are offered in 24F, which is a slightly larger battery than stock but still fits with the battery tray removed. Sears carries the stock size for the Z in Platinum, but not 24F.
